- Tele-Classrooms - School formation with 70 adults yearly

Funded by UNESCO and the Ministry of Health, transforming 30 teenagers into multipliers of the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases or STD and AIDS, prevention of teenage pregnancy as well as advice regarding drug-taking and Human Rights, in the District of Xerém – Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro.
Water
"Our Most Valuable Asset"
Since November 1998, we have been host to the “The Centre of Reference for the Citizens Movement for Water” in Xerém, in partnership with INMETRO, the Department of the Environment and CREA – RJ, representing the various inhabitants, industries, commerce and farms in the region. We act by distributing pamphlets and educational materials to make people aware of these assets in order to protect the springs and local forests, denouncing those who threaten their natural environment with petitions and actions for the protection of the local environment.
If you want to be a volunteer
We have a few volunteers on a part-time basis, but do not have the means to run a full-scale voluntary programme yet. However, if you plan to visit Brazil and would like to see or participate in our projects we'd be delighted. But, you will need to find your own accommodation although we can try to help you with this.
Help us with a donation
We need your help for our projects. If you can and want to help us financially by donating to our projects, in any way you can, it would really make all the difference. Our current goal is to get musical instruments for 25 kids from Ana Clara and Xerém who want to study at one of the best ranked Music Schools in Brazil called UNIRIO, with whom we've just made a partnership.
